I remember the crank type laundry machine in my grandmother's basement! I thought it was so cool.

I remember folding laundry with my mom.
The only laundry memory I have is how much I HATED folding the clothes!
When I was a little girl, I used to love 'helping' my mom hang up clothes on the clothesline out back...they always smelled so good when they were dry!
my cat milo used to take socks out of the laundry basket and take them into the living room
I can remember walking way out to the back of the yard when I was 4 or 5 and playing while mom took the clothes off the line before we ever owned our first dryer.

We washed our clothes by hand before when I was in highschool :)
my grandmother had a wringer washer and one day while she was washing clothes on the back porch, she got a phone call and left me alone (I was probably 5 or 6) well naturally I had to play with it, so I tried to wring some clothes through the wringer. My hand went up in it and I was yelling to beat the band. She came running and freed me but I was still in trouble.
I remember hanging laundry with my mom most days in the summer.
We would always grab the pillowcases that were hanging on the line outside and use them as wedding veils. My mother would get so mad. :)
